The Warriors have taken a new direction by first not renewing the contract for Chris Mullin and by naming Larry Riley as the new General Manager. Though this is old news, it’s good to let this information sink in and develop a better understanding on where the Warriors want to go. Mullin has been in the office for five years and I believe he did a decent job with the talent and money he had. He resurrected Don Nelson’s coaching career, resurrected Baron Davis’s career, gave a home to the trouble but talented Stephen Jackson, and got the Warriors back [...]

Through out the NBA Playoffs, you’ve seen many coaches wearing pins with the initials of “CD,” in honor of their friend, collegaue, coach and mentor, Chuck Daly. At the age of 78, Daly lost his battle to pancreatic cancer and passed away, May 9, 2009.

This NBA playoffs haven’t had any huge upsets that have captured my attention. The Lakers, easily handled the Jazz, while Ron Artest gave the Houston Rockets the boost that they needed to go into the second round. Even without Dwight Howard, the Magic left the Sixers behind,  the Nuggests finally got to Round 2 by dismantling the Hornets, the Mavs beat up on the old Spurs and the Cavs easily cruised in their series.  Only two series left in the first round. By far one of the best series in the playoffs have been the Bulls vs. Celtics. They have played [...]
