Warriors Draft Pick of ’09

AUTHOR: | IN: Warriors | COMMENTS: None Yet

It has been quite a bit, since I’ve updated anything. But what perfect timing of when I have the opportunity to come back and give a little bit on the draft. Every year, days leading up to the draft, draft days and the days after, often gives us a look at what direction a ball club is headed. For the Cavs, they sent the NBA rocking, with the first real interesting trade. They got Shaq for an aging and limited Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, a second round pick in 2010 and $500,000. Though Shaq has aged quite a bit and [...]

Ex-Warrior With Some Magic

AUTHOR: | IN: Warriors | COMMENTS: None Yet

As a Warriors fan, I’m upset at Mickael Pietrus. So far, throughout this playoffs, Pietrus has not only stepped up to the plate but played beyond what we remembered him. So where did this Mickael Pietrus come from?  His job was to guard the best player on the other team. He’s quietly made valiant efforts to stop [...]

Is Education an afterthought to the NBA?

AUTHOR: | IN: Warriors | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

So as an avid fan of basketball itself, I was scouring the old fashioned newpaper and the internet and I came across something really interesting. In the wake of Orlando ruining a Lebron-Kobe finale, a scandal has come across another NBA player.  So we shouldn’t fret or lose much sleep over it, cause really any scandal a professional male athlete has, it really gets swept under the rug, a guideline for the next time the same or similar situation arises. So I ran across Yahoo and read the article Dan Wetzel wrote. I follow him quite closely and admire the [...]

I Don’t Have The Golden Ticket…..

AUTHOR: | IN: Warriors | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

So with the lottery all set and done, the Warriors failed to move in the draft. The Clippers got the lucky draw and will pick first in this year’s draft. Sources say that they will take Blake Griffin as the Number 1 pick. I’ve read somewhere that new GM Riley wants to take a look at guys that have played four years of college ball first. Well that sounds encouraging, but is there a 4 year college guy that will fill our need? I’m not too sure. With the number 7 seed, it is unlikely that Ricky Rubio from Spain [...]
