Klay Thompson Pulling Double Duty

After finishing up his stint as part of the USA Basketball Select team, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson won’t get a break. That’s because Thompson is pulling double duty this summer.

Next stop: Warriors summer league practice.

Thompson tweeted the news that he’d be joining his teammates on July 11.

Such dedication from a second-year player is impressive, especially considering he’s already got a stranglehold on the starting 2-guard job. As odd as it sounds, Thompson really doesn’t have anything to prove to the Warriors. And that’s what makes his offseason dedication so great to see.

After knocking headswith the likes of Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant, he’ll probably be pretty glad to see the rag-tag collection of undrafted free agents and journeymen in the Vegas summer league. As for Warriors fans? They’ll probably be pretty glad to see that Thompson is so clearly dedicated to improving his skills.
