Rumors have been swirling around about Kendrick Perkins’s future with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Sam Presti, GM of the Thunder, recently shot down rumors and stated they have no intention of amnestying Perkins. However, this does not mean that they are seeking an upgrade at center.

With the draft, the Thunder might be seeking for a big to pick up as a project until Perkins’ contract expires. Olynyk may be the preferable choice for Oklahoma, but it is very likely he will be off the board by the time they pick.

A big who is similar to Olynyk can be found in Steven Adams from Pittsburgh. He has a combination of size, length and athleticism. Adams moves swift movement compliments his length when it comes to weak-side ball protection. He has shown considerable improvement in his shooting.
