The Golden State Warriors’ summer league scheduled has been announced:
Saturday, July 13: Warriors vs. Washington Wizards (Cox Pavilion, 1 p.m.)
Monday, July 15: Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings (Thomas & Mack, 5:30 p.m.)
Tuesday, July 16: Warriors vs. Milwaukee Bucks (Thomas & Mack, 3:30 p.m.)
The Warriors’ roster will be headlined by Draymond Green, Kent Bazemore, Scott Machado and international prospect Ognjen Kuzmic. Neither Green or Bazemore averaged more than 10 points in last year’s summer league.
Kuzmic, a 7’1 center, will use the summer league as an opportunity to showcase his abilities. With Festus Ezeli out for six-to-nine months, a solid showing could earn Kuzmic a roster spot.
Scouting reports nab Kuzmic as a mobile big man who is solid defender, and obviously, a solid rebounder. His ability to shoot the ball also pops off the scouting report.
Below is an excerpt from the official release from NBA.com regarding the tournament format.
Teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 12-16 before being seeded in a tournament running through the Championship Game on July 22. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games
Tournament play beings on July 17.
