The Clippers have one of the greatest point guards of all time inChris Paul, who is notoriously considered to be one of the most difficult players to play with. But that’s acceptable when he finished third in the NBA in PER (Player Efficiency Rating) in 2012-13.

Doc Rivers suffered a lot of criticism during his first few years as the head coach of the Boston Celtics. However, once given the right pieces, Rivers turned the franchise around and helped them win a championship and contend for a few more.

With Paul at the helm and Rivers steering the ship, the Clippers have the framework to begin a run of success. Don’t forget that in 2007-08, Paul single-handedly took the god awful New Orleans Hornets to the Western Conference Semifinals. Though the Clippers may not be the best team in the league, they have the pieces in place to compete with them.
