The Warriors have reportedly shown interest in O’Neal, but the Dallas Mavericks are also going after the 17 year veteran.  O’Neal’s age is something to be concerned with, but he should still be able to play 15-20 minutes per game if needed.

O’Neal averaged 8.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game for the Phoenix Suns last season, so he can still have an impact offensively and defensively.

He isn’t going to do anything amazing, but the Warriors don’t need an amazing backup – they just need someone to give Bogut a rest.  In his prime, O’Neal was a great all-around center, so his presence would be beneficial to Festus Ezeli.
