The Golden State Warriors have just come off a phenomenally successful media day, continuing their dominance of social media. The Warriors have had one of the most exciting offseasons in recent history, and the ensuing media day was able to address some of the newest developments of a franchise that is in it’s best position in decades.
Check out some of the pictures from media day via MercuryNew.com. You can see new additions like Dewayne Dedmon, Ognjen Kuzmic, Andre Iguodala, Seth Curry, Cameron Jones, Toney Douglas, Jermaine O’Neal and Marreese Speights mixing in with Harrison Barnes, Kent Bazemore, and Stephen Curry.
Iguodala unveiled and displayed his new jersey, as well as showing off an impressive full back wing tattoo. Andrew Bogut and Draymond Green were seen looking thin, a great sign for Warriors fans. David Lee, the team’s sole All-Star for the 2012-13 season, declared his intention to refine his ability to hit corner three-pointers, much like his teammate Stephen Curry.
The Warriors so called “#TweediaDay” was a multifaceted approach to social media, seamlessly incorporating Facebook and Twitter as well as traditional media outlets to create excitement for the coming season. The media day is traditionally a day of fanfare and pageantry and this time it was no different, and has only created more excitement for the coming NBA season which is set to start in 27 days.
