Despite his continued offensive struggles, Green has been the bench unit’s sole true success story. His passing and ability to threaten, if not actually damage, from the perimeter make him a functional offensive player, while his defensive contributions add significant positive value. Anecdotally, it seems as if many of the Warriors impressive runs begin with Green on the floor alongside a group of starters. Green’s defensive versatility bridges the gap between the Warriors small-ball success and more standard tendencies.
