Against his former team, Jarrett Jack nailed a midrange dagger with 1.1 seconds left in the game to help the Brooklyn Nets overcome the Golden State Warriors’ furious comeback and win 110-108 on Monday night at Barclays Center.

With less than four minutes left in the game, Stephen Curry single-handedly erased a 10-point deficit and shot the Warriors back into the game. However, Curry was unable to get a shot off in time as the clock expired.

Curry, who shot miserably for most of the game, ended the contest with 26 points with 18 coming in the fourth quarter.

Brook Lopez was dominant offensively for Brooklyn, tying with Curry for a game-high 26 points. Deron Williams finished with 22 points including four timely three-pointers.

It was the Warriors’ centers, not the guards, who provided the scoring punch. Tonight’s performance from the Warriors big men bodes well for upcoming games. Andrew Bogut finished with season-high 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting and grabbed eight boards while blocking three shots. Festus Ezeli looked promising off the bench. He finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in only 15 minutes.

Klay Thompson was ice-cold from the field. He shot 3-of-17 and failed to get any sort of rhythm in his shot, most likely due to heavy minutes in previous games resulting in fatigue. Thompson, Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes only shot 6-of-29 collectively.

The Nets survived Curry’s onslaught late in the fourth thanks to two straight 3-pointers from Thaddeus Young. The Warriors defense was extremely disruptive with three minutes left, allowing the Warriors to tie the game with under a minute remaining. The Warriors had a chance to take the lead with 36 seconds left but Bogut made an errant pass with 20 seconds remaining, giving Brooklyn the final possession. Jack proceeded to hit a 17-foot jumper at the top of the key to seal the game.

Curry and Bogut each picked up their fourth fouls early into the third quarter. The bench unit kept the Warriors in the game with strong playmaking from Iguodala and Livingston. Ezeli gave the Warriors some quality minutes by crashing the offensive glass and providing a big body on the paint. He had a notable put-back slam off a Curry miss. Curry made his second 3-pointer of the game to cut the nine-point deficit to six heading into the fourth quarter.

The second quarter was filled with flashes of brilliance from the Warriors big men. An aggressive Festus finished a lob from Livingston,  Bogut and Ezeli shot 11-of-13 from the floor to end the first half . The rest of the starters only shot 2-of-17 .

The Warriors back court showed noticeable signs of fatigue in the first quarter. It was Bogut who provided the scoring spark for the starters. Bogut remained active on the glass and came out with tremendous energy. He displayed an array of offensive moves, including a powerful slam over Mason, an alley oop dunk, and various hook shots and put-backs.

Bogut scored 10 in the first quarter while dueling with Brook Lopez, who had 12. The Nets shot at a staggering 73% from the field in the first.
