These are the quotes of the night from the Golden State Warriors win on the road against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Golden State Warriors had quite the interesting path en route to win No. 50 on Monday night. The team built up a 23-point lead at one point in the game, but then watched the Atlanta Hawks come surging back and take the lead on them.

More from Stephen Curry

However, just as the Warriors always do, they buckled down and pulled away with the big win on the road to reach their 50th win of the season and 23 short of history.

After the game, head coach Steve Kerr was pretty blunt about Stephen Curry‘s ability to take over in the fourth quarter and to get the Warriors the lead back after they lost it, according to San Francisco Chronicle beat writer Rusty Simmons.

Curry came in clutch when the Warriors needed him to on Monday night. He had nine of his 36 points in the final frame, which helped pull away from a Hawks team that had rattled the Warriors late.

The Warriors became the fastest team in NBA history to reach 50 wins in a season. With the hot start and the great chance at finishing with the best record, Stephen Curry knows how special the group is, but that they won’t let it get to them either.

With 27 games remaining on the schedule, the Warriors need to win 23 of them to guarantee themselves the best record in NBA history. It’s not going to be easy, but if they keep playing the way that they are, they’re going to have the best shot that anyone has had yet.

The newest addition to the roster, Anderson Varejao, didn’t see any action on Monday night, but he had some interesting things to say to about the chemistry in the locker room.

While the Cleveland Cavaliers are now taking off under head coach Tyronn Lue, Varejao’s comments sort of shed an interesting light onto what the locker room situation might be like in Cleveland compared to Golden State. He’s clearly blown away by the chemistry and love that the team has for each other. He’s certainly going to remain an interesting quote as long as the potential of a Warriors-Cavaliers rematch in the finals remains a possibility.

And of course, Draymond Green chimed in on Twitter after the game. Green decided to give a shout out to Andrew Bogut for his job as a rim protector. In case anyone is wondering about Bogut’s night, he had a nasty block that sent Hawks forward Paul Millsap straight to the ground.
