The Golden State Warriors have some holes they need to fix. If they can’t sign Kevin Durant, they should stay away from these guys.

The Golden State Warriors are going to pursue Kevin Durant hard.

If that doesn’t work out, then they’ll probably go after Al Horford and Nicolas Batum. If those guys don’t sign with the defending Western Conference champs, then they’ll settle for restricted free agents Festus Ezeli and Harrison Barnes.

Joe Lacob isn’t afraid to open his checkbook, doing whatever it takes to put a winner on the court. He’s been linked to more free agents in the few years that he’s been the Warriors’ owner than the franchise was in the previous two decades. Golden State has turned from being an afterthought to a desirable destination.

The Warriors were an incredible Kyrie Irving three-pointer away from being back-to-back champions. Instead, they were sent into free agency reeling, stumbling trying to find answers to some questions that arose during the NBA Finals. The Warriors have holes that, if filled, can result in their second championship in three years.

Even if they strike out on Durant, the Warriors look like they want to move Andrew Bogut and continue to look for an upgrade over Barnes. But they have to be careful. They shouldn’t just sign a guy just for the sake of signing someone. I already wrote about five non-KD free agents they should take a look at.

Here are five free agents the Warriors should not look at.
