The Golden State Warriors can continue to prove their back with strong performances in their next two home games.

It’s an exciting time for the Golden State Warriors as they are finally looking the unstoppable team we have come to known. With four straight blowout victories and five overall in hand, the Warriors are rolling as they try to clinch the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. While they’ve clearly passed the eye test, they got a set of tests coming up at home this weekend.

With the Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies coming into town this weekend, they’ll be running up against two teams with similar styles that they have struggled with. The Warriors have lost to both of these teams this season and both games they should have never let get away from them.

The road loss to the Kings saw Stephen Curry miss a layup that could have changed the outcome. A 24-point lead at home against Memphis evaporated quicker than water on a hot summer’s day in the desert. Needless to say, there is a trend here and the Warriors have to show they can beat it, especially if they run up on Memphis in the playoffs.

Realistically, a team like Memphis is going to be a grind for Golden State. That’s a game where Draymond Green thrives. It’s also a team where Kevin Durant and his length would be useful to use against in a playoff series. With the way the seeds are shaping up, the only potential way they would likely meet is if it’s in a conference finals.

Crazier things have happened in the NBA, so that’s not out of the question. Still, the Warriors have to play with a playoff intensity against both Sacramento and Memphis. That same focus and energy they had against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks would be perfect here.
