Houston Rockets guard James Harden is the next MVP candidate that Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry can outshine on Tuesday night.

The Golden State Warriors’ recent surge and seven-game winning streak has come at the right time for the team. In a fight for the top seed overall in the Western Conference, the Warriors have put together wins when they needed to as they inch closer. They aren’t out of the woods yet, as they’re in the middle of a brutal stretch.

Stephen Curry has found his swagger again during this time. The man that looked lost and not like his MVP self has once again been pulling up for ridiculous threes and putting the team on his back. He has looked every bit the part he normally has.

His signature outing during this streak came against Russell Westbrook. The MVP candidate had one of his worst games of the year if not the worst game of his season. He didn’t have a triple-double performance, let alone a double-double game.

While Curry won’t be winning a third-straight MVP this season, he will have a chance to outshine another MVP candidate on Tuesday night. The Warriors will face off against the Houston Rockets in a pivotal game that could help push them closer to the top seed.

The two are going to try and outshine the other wants the ball touches their hand. With the confidence that Curry is playing with right now and the fact that Harden could end up winning MVP, this has the potential to be a great one.

If Curry can have the better night just as he did with Westbrook, that would be pretty huge for him. Taking down the top two MVP candidates with ease and putting on the better show is a sign the Warriors are ready.
