Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr became the fastest coach to reach 200 wins in NBA history on Tuesday night.

When it’s all said and done, the things the Golden State Warriors have done over recent years and will continue to do will be looked at with sheer amazement. With their third straight 60-win season officially clinched on Tuesday night, the Warriors have reached a level not achieved by man teams. The victory over the Houston Rockets helped push the Warriors closer to the top seed in the Western Conference. However, it was head coach Steve Kerr on the right side of history.

With Golden State’s victory over the Rockets, the Warriors’ head coach picked up the 200th victory of his career. That officially makes him the fastest in history to reach 200 wins overall, as he has done so in just 238 games. That stat is almost ridiculous to think about. Just 38 losses to 200 wins as a head coach.

To put it in perspective, at least 16 teams this season already have 38 losses. This is a three-year span being covered here. Ever since Kerr took over as the head coach of this team, the talent on this team began to flourish and take off under him.

Often with teams loaded with superstars, people feel as if any coach can be plugged in and have success with that team. That’s not the case at all with the Warriors. These guys minus Kevin Durant of course, were on the team before Kerr arrived and did not have the success that they do now.

To accomplish the things he has thus far shows just how special of a coaching talent he is. He’s already got a championship to show for it and has a great shot at another one this season. For Kerr, it’s all about building on his legacy now and it’s likely he’s going to take down plenty of more records along the way.
