The Golden State Warriors are the team to beat, but a Carmelo Anthony trade to the right team could make their path to another title much more difficult.

The Golden State Warriors had one of the most dominant seasons of all-time. They went 67-15 in the regular season and nearly went perfect in the playoffs, going 15-0 until the Cleveland Cavaliers managed to steal one in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. They were amazing.

The Warriors, with a year of building chemistry under their belt and an improved bench, should be even better next year. For the rest of the league, that’s scary. Kevin Durant’s Warriors, who were unstoppable, are going to be even stronger.

The Dubs’ dominance has the league scrambling. The 29 other teams have spent the last few years trying to figure them out. Thus far, they haven’t.

Still, teams haven’t given up trying to chase them either. Plenty of squads–in the Western Conference especially–have made moves to try to close the gap on them (though LeBron James, reportedly, isn’t happening about his team’s efforts). And they’re not done.

Carmelo Anthony is at the end of his New York Knicks career. The 33-year-old is not in the Knicks’ long term plans. He’s entering the final stage of his career–especially as an effective player–so it’s time for him to move on.

His contract features a no-trade clause, but he’d waive it for certain teams. His name is being dangled around trade rumors, with new rumors and updates surfacing every day. The only teams that want him are those that want to make a move towards genuine championship contention.

Which team that is interested in Anthony would pose the biggest threat if they acquire him?
