Not once but twice did Giannis Antetokounmpo mention Stephen Curry as one of his favorite players while going live a few days ago.

For months, the Golden State Warriors’ diehard fanbase has been brewing up ideas for the team to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo. The pairing of Stephen Curry and Giannis would be just flat out incredible.

Many think it’s not possible.

How do you acquire the league’s current MVP with a former two-time MVP that’s still in his prime?

With Giannis available on the open market in just a year and a half, the Warriors will have to free up space or send Milwaukee a massive trade offer. They currently have four max-value contracts on the roster.

For the former of the two to work, Giannis would actually have to want to leave Milwaukee and come to the Bay Area.

Well, that seems to already be taken care of.

While talking on a live chat, Giannis called Steph one of his favorite players in the league twice.

He also mentioned Damian Lillard and Magic as well. This was more just a confirmation than a breaking story as we’ve seen the two link up in what seemed to be a pleasant time at All-Star games and other events.

Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the top free agent of the 2021 class, and he’ll have every team craving his services. For the Warriors, that reality, given that he’s a big Stephen Curry fan, could be more attainable.

That and their track record of success could bring in the forward that’s currently averaging 29.6 points and 13.7 rebounds per game. He’s the favorite to be the league’s MVP in the currently-suspended season as well.

Giannis will be a hot commodity when he’s available. If Curry can continue his magic, the Warriors will have a good chance at signing the superstar.
