The Golden State Warriors have been the league’s worst team this season. It didn’t have to be that way if these three players had been around.

15 wins. The Golden State Warriors have 15 wins in 65 games this season.

With the NBA season currently suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Warriors’ season has been on hold for a few weeks. However, the hope for next season to start already has been in play for months now.

For the bulk of the season, the Warriors were led by 2019 All-Star D’Angelo Russell. While many questioned the fit for Russell, the Warriors backed the young guard before eventually trading him for small forward Andrew Wiggins and a 2021 first-round pick.

At that point, the damage had been done.

After five straight years of representing the Western Conference in the NBA Finals, the Warriors’ season was in turmoil as they’re still currently the only team officially eliminated from playoff contention.

It didn’t have to be this way. The talent is there, and believe it or not, it’s still there. That said, let’s dive into three players that could’ve saved the 2019-2020 season for the Golden State Warriors.
