The Rockets looked terrible and the Warriors looked no better. It’s almost like we wanted to lose when both superstars of the Rockets are out! They played ok, not great, but ok. Who impressed me the most? Of course our young rookie, Stephen Curry! First, him being named starting PG, that almost seemed like it was the match to start another fire with Monte Ellis. But no news is good news, and unless they had some issues internally that were never shown to the public, Ellis, seems to take it all in stride. The rookie had a very good showing. [...]

Past The Point Of No Return
It really can’t get any better than this. The leaves are changing, the weather is slightly colder but comfortable and the NBA has already started pre-season, meaning the season is about to get under way! Then why does turmoil surround the Bay Area? What did we do to deserve such atrocity from one player?!?!? Another wrinkle, and now Stephen Jackson has relinquished his Captain title. No more Captain Jack. And I can’t say that I’m surprised or upset really. I didn’t think he was a leader when he was given this honor nor do I think he is one now. Jackson is [...]
Turmoil
Another day and still the same old conflict that is tearing up this franchise. It’s amazing that we are only 2 years removed when the Warriors erased a 13 year playoff drought and things started to look bright for this franchise. Then, two years later and the team is in disarray. Stephen Jackson was suspended two pre-season games for his outburst the other night towards Nellie. Onlookers describe the scene to be not pleasant and it was clear that Jackson was agitated with something. He picked five fouls and a tech in only a matter of ten minutes. The outburst, [...]
Storms Are Circling
A few weeks ago, Stephen Jackson was in NY to help his Al Harrington out. He made some comments that obviously hurt the Warriors fans, and everyone from the management to fans, believed he was, “Jack being Jack. Flash Forward and you know that the NBA season is about to start when teams are attending their own Media Day. Although he was fined by the NBA, using the media as an outlet to demand a trade, reporters still insist on him clarifying what he said in New York. Although they don’t receive a solid yes or no answer, it’s clear [...]
The New Drug of Today
Word on the street is that Michael Beasley has checked into a rehab facility in Houston after his breakdown, all captured on Twitter. After taking a new picture of his new tattoo, postings of two small baggies in the back, made their way to be the center of the Twitter posts instead of his tat. Beasley responded to these posts and soon his Twitter account was shut down, again. This is the second time his account has gone down. Beasley’s maturity has always been a concern. During the NBA Rookie camps, Beasley had supposedly slipped out of the room as [...]
Marco
The Warriors made a small splash in today’s sports headlines by trading Marco Belinelli to the Toronto Raptors for Devean Geroge and some cash. When I say small splash, I mean small splash, because I had to look real close to find the headline for this news. Yes, if I were to go on the Warriors blog, I could have found it easily, since it was the first article, but that wasn’t the first place I looked. Since finding this piece of news, I’ve searched the Internet to find more reactions to this trade, if any at all. The number [...]
Short & Quick
So the Bobcats and the Hornets have completed a deal that has me baffled. Not sure what either team is trying to accomplish with this trade, but the Bobcats are sure to have new employees come this winter. Tyson Chandler and Emeka Okafor switched teams and but nothing else. If you do take a closer look, I suppose the Hornets got the better end of the deal, meaning Okafor hasn’t missed as many games as Tyson has in the last two years. But then again, maybe the Bobcats did, with trading for a more versatile center who once lead the [...]
Adding a new Curry
I don’t remember where I was reading or hearing this bit, but some basketball analyst had said that Stephen Curry would be a player to watch during the NBA summer league. The sharpshooter isn’t particularly built like his NBA teammates and the analyst wrote/said, that it would be interesting to see him try to get his shot off or create his own shot against bigger and stronger men in the NBA. Well I happened to flip the tv on and there it was. A summer league game featuring the Warriors. I can’t quite remember who they played, but I think [...]
Changing Scenery
So, I woke up to find that Rasheed Wallace has verbally agreed to join the Celtics for a mid-level pay and he’ll be joining an aging team with a need to boost up their bench. Seems like every NBA player has been packing their bags and are heading for a different team. Is this because of the economic trend? A chance to play for a contender? I’m not sure if every player falls into either category, but a lot of transactions have been going on this summer. I believe that one huge reason, why so many players are being traded [...]
Doc Rivers asked for one volunteer during half-time. Ray Allen gave the Celtics just what they needed. After trading consecutive baskets with Ben Gordon, both of UCONN alums, Ray Ray took the most important shot for the Celtics in this early playoffs. Hitting a three with 2.0 seconds to go, the win wasn’t just for a tied series that is headed to Chicago, but a confidence booster and the belief that the Celtics can win, even with a banged up team and a weak bench. Celtic Nation was optimistic, when they heard that KG would not play the rest of [...]
