Boucher is just getting started

Santa Cruz remained in Southern California after their loss to the Lakers, playing the Agua Caliente Clippers just a couple days later. Unfortunately, the Sea Dubs were defeated by them, as well, losing 104-89.

The silver lining, however, was Chris Boucher‘s 17-point, 10-rebound performance, during which he shot 6-of-12 from the field and 5-of-8 from the free throw line as a starter. He added two assists and two blocks in 27 minutes of play.

Despite missing the majority of the season working back from ACL surgery, he’s caught up with everyone else quite quickly. Considering this was Boucher’s first start of the season, there’s no doubt the Warriors two-way contract player will continue to hold on to the starting spot for the foreseeable future — even after Terrence Jones comes back from injury.

Boucher followed up this double-double with yet another one, dropping in 24 points (10-18 FG), 18 rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks against the Suns. I would have highlighted that particular performance had it not been for the next guy on our list.
