Simply Put: Russell is the better player right now

Lastly, the Warriors just need talent and potential, and for now, that’s D’Angelo Russell. He’s the better player.

Yes, he’s not as efficient and could be a liability on the defensive end, but Dub Nation is looking to replace over 45 points per game in their starting lineup alone. You can’t just lose those Thompson and Durant and expect to produce an even similar offense.

That total isn’t including Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston and Quinn Cook who also departed this offseason. Where will that production come from? It won’t be Alfonzo McKinnie; we can be sure of that.

The Warriors will need scoring. They need a dynamic playmaker, and as it stands, Russell is the better of the two when it comes to the Warriors’ weaknesses.

These rumors may be credible, but they’re far from a reality that’ll come to fruition this season.
