Doug McDermott

Doug McDermott is averaging a career-high 11.0 points per game, but he’s not playing at the level that he could be if he was given more minutes.

McDermott is still not even notching two full quarters per game. On a Pacers team that is actually playing well, McDermott has been a consistent force off the bench, oftentimes making a solid small-ball forward.

Knowing on Dougie Buckets at Creighton, McDermott is averaging 1.7 threes per game and shooting 35 percent from deep. He’s been consistent from deep, and he’s also shooting over 46 percent from the field.

The Warriors struggled to find consistent shooting despite getting the looks they wanted. McDermott could help with that in a big way. He would be a premier shooting forward off the bench and likely help keep all the attention off Stephen Curry.

McDermott isn’t a huge buy-low target as he’s playing well, but he’s still not getting many minutes so his value to Indiana may be what Golden State is willing to pay.
