Andrew Wiggins

When the Warriors traded for Andrew Wiggins, many thought it was a ploy just to bring in a draft pick and send away D’Angelo Russell as he didn’t really fit the mold of the team with Stephen Curry on the roster as well.

Wiggins has cemented himself as a star for this team.

While his usage is down as he’s playing alongside the best supporting cast he’s had throughout his career, Wiggins’ efficiency is the best of his career. He’s shooting 45 percent from the field and 40 percent from deep.

While the former isn’t the best of his career, the 40 percent is by far better than what he’s done in the past. Averaging 2.1 triples per game, Wiggins’ three-point shooting has been the difference in several games for Golden State.

Isn’t that the trend though? With Lee, Paschall, and Wiggins, the game has slowed down for them as they’ve been able to play with Curry and Green. It’s just a different pace when the game doesn’t solely revolve around them as it did for much of last season.

Wiggins is notching 17.8 points per game and is the second option to Curry. He’s played well, and a former No. 1 overall pick that has several seasons over averaging over 20 points per game, he clearly has the ceiling to keep going.
