Golden State Warriors’ issues: Kelly Oubre’s inconsistency

Has there been a more disappointing player in the NBA this season than Kelly Oubre? I know most didn’t expect him to be an All-Star, but it genuinely felt the Golden State Warriors pulled off a steal when they traded for him.

Now, Oubre is the most detrimental shooter in the NBA. He has hit only 17-of-84 attempts from the 3-point line. I don’t need to tell you that this is the worst percentage in the league – but for the record, it’s nearly 10 percent lower than Lonzo Ball who ranks second.

Let’s give credit where credit is due – Oubre is a stellar defender and rebounder at his position. And, all things considered, he’s pretty damn fun to watch when he’s attacking the basket.

Unfortunately, the occasional highlight dunk just doesn’t make up for missing wide-open 3-pointers. His inability to hit the broadside of a barn is hindering the Dubs’ entire offensive scheme. There’s really nothing else to say other than Oubre needs to begin hitting his shots.
