What could two first-round picks, James Wiseman and Andrew Wiggins get the Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors don’t have plans to trade former No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman, but there’s no denying they’ll consider any deal that pops up, especially since they’ve already put a price tag on what they may want in return.

Despite no rumors having surfaced yet, the Golden State Warriors could trade James Wiseman and a package with Andrew Wiggins and their two lottery picks feels the most likely to bring back a big-name star.

The Golden State Warriors could package James Wiseman, Andrew Wiggins and two first-round picks. What would that get them in return though?

That’s what they’re looking for.

"“A league source told HoopsHype that while Golden State is not looking to trade James Wiseman, they would listen if an All-Star player was on the table and one becomes available this summer in potential trade talks,” HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto said."

This feels like a classic scenario of “we don’t want to trade the prospect, but if the price is right.” Will the price be right for Wiseman? The Warriors only have so many valuable assets, so that may all be on what the asking price is of the star they’re looking to acquire.

The players that seem to have an unknown future right now are Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. Leonard is a free agent, and if he leaves after what could be a first-round exit, the Clippers could easily blow it up. Bradley Beal could be another name, although that’s more unlikely.

The real question is, if George or Leonard does become available, is Wiggins, Wiseman and their two lottery picks enough to bring him to the Bay Area.

The Warriors could have to deal Wiggins to get the cap space to even out as the deal wouldn’t be feasible without the young forward in the equation.

It’s a tough question as Wiggins has seemingly found a home with the Warriors, averaging career-high shooting percentages this past season. However, the Warriors may easily part ways with both Wiggins and Wiseman if the hope for George is there.

The bottom line is if a fourth player makes them title favorites it’ll be hard for them to say no on an account of keeping a highly overpaid Wiggins and a young prospect that could still be a few years from being an elite contributor.

Wiggins, Wiseman and those picks also expedite any rebuild. They are the rebuild and toss them in the rotation with a team like Memphis or Los Angeles, and they are instantly going to at least contend.

The package is worth an All-Star caliber player, and if one comes up, the Warriors should certainly have the phone already picked up.
