Golden State Warriors can target Brandon Ingram

It’s no secret that the Golden State Warriors’ fall from grace came directly after Kevin Durant’s decision to leave the franchise. While this roster is more than talented enough to compete without the likes of KD — it would most definitely help to have someone who can play that role again.

This is where Brandon Ingram can offer a bit of solitude. He isn’t the otherworldly scorer Durant is, but he’s a good fit for Golden State. He falls somewhere in between what Harrison Barnes provided and the Finals MVP caliber status of KD.

All Ingram needs to do is be a consistent scoring threat on the wing. If he does that, he’s already playing up to expectations. The only thing left is to provide effort on defense and be a willing passer — two things that should come easy in the Warriors’ system.

Ingram averaged 23.8 points and 4.9 assists last season on 46/38/87 shooting splits. He’s a clear upgrade in the scoring department and will take immense pressure off the backcourt. And, at 23 years old, he’s only getting started.
