Golden State Warriors player set to shatter expectations: Draymond Green

Draymond Green is a three-time All-Star.

I get that, but after last season, I think expectations were extremely tempered for the do-it-all forward. Green still isn’t averaging double-figures, but his impact says it all. Green is notching 9.3 points per game which is the fifth-best in his career.

However, on top of his scoring, he’s averaging 8.7 rebounds per game and 7.0 assists per game. Respectively, those are the second and fourth most of his career. He’s taken his impact to a higher level than many expected.

A nice feature of Green’s game is he’s also taking three-point field goals that he likes, not rushing anything. He’s averaging a career-low .8 threes per game, but hitting 60 percent, the Warriors wouldn’t have that any different.

While it’s a small sample size, he’s never shot over 50 percent from the field for an entire season. He’s currently at 59 percent. It’s his efficiency that’s been mind-boggling, and that’s why he’s on our list of those that have blown away expectations.
