The Dallas Mavericks saw success when they possessed a pass-first point guard. With Jason Kidd running the show, the Mavs won their first championship in 2011. After Kidd’s departure, the team was never able to retain a championship caliber team.

Michael Carter-Williams may be what the Mavericks are looking for in a point guard. Standing at 6’6″, Williams’ length creates turnovers and fast break opportunities. Combined with his high basketball IQ, those turnovers can convert to easy buckets.

Also, his vision and ability to find shooters will benefit Dallas’s shooters. These players should vouch for Williams to be drafted to Dallas.
