Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant had to leave the game against the Washington Wizards after Zaza Pachulia fell into him.
The Golden State Warriors have been successful this season in more metrics than just ones. They really haven’t had to deal with injuries to any of their core players, after they were a bit hobbled in the NBA Playoffs last season. However, everyone should be holding their breath right now.

During the early action against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night, there was a scary scene involving Kevin Durant’s knee. Center Zaza Pachulia fell backward right into Durant’s knee, which caused it to straighten out.
He would immediately leave the floor and head to the back to get attention. With Golden State on a roll in the regular season and focused on the playoffs ahead of them, losing Durant would be a bit of a blow to the roster after they’ve done a great job of integrating him.
At the same time, they’ll be able to get Durant plenty of time to rest if he ends up needing time off. Knee injuries can always end up derailing a team and it’s one of the more serious injuries in sports.
There’s still a bit of time until the playoffs begin and Durant will be able to get plenty of rest should it not turn out to be anything serious. The good thing is the Warriors still have the three other superstars on the floor which goes a long way to helping them win games.
