Power Forward: Draymond Green

Although Draymond Green was the starter, he played a quiet 33 minutes en route to a mere five points and seven rebounds.

Green’s presence is often felt on the defensive side of the ball, becoming notorious around the league as a pesky defender. Not so much the case in Game 2. Although his one-on-one defense is usually very good, he was getting broken down by Parker off the dribble anytime the Spurs ran the pick and roll and got the switch.

Green’s team defense however, was particularly bad Wednesday. Green was not closing out well on the open three-pointers. The Spurs got way too many and bricked quite a few, and he was getting pushed around a bit by Matt Bonner and Boris Diaw. Definitely not one of his best games, but he was passing well and hit a huge three pointer with 6:40 left in the fourth that dashed the Spurs hopes of a late game push.
