2. Know When To Pass

In his best playoff outing, Thompson had one assist. This is understandable, as he was shooting an even fifty percent from the field and an insane 88.9 percent from beyond the arc. He managed to also rackup 14 boards and three steals.

So, no one would fault Thompson for not passing on his break-out night. What we could fault for him, however, is not having any assists on his worst playoff outing, a night where he scored just four points on 25 percent shooting. No one knows when Thompson is not hot better than himself, so when he isn’t feeling that long perimeter shot that he normally makes otherwise, he should look to distribute first.
