Here, the Blazers will look to deepen at center after picking up Meyers Leonard last year, who didn’t have much of an impact this season. Adams is another great 7’o” prospect, weighing a 255 lbs. However, his greatest shortcomings (and they’re big) come on offense. He’s a poor finisher, displays poor footwork and isn’t a threat away from the basket. Overall, he’s extremely raw on that side of the floor, easily the weakest player offensively projected in the top 10 picks.

However, his defense shows promise. he’s quite quick on his feet for a guy his size, displays good athleticism and good instincts as a blocker. He’s a decent rebounder, but most of his skill comes in his blocking game, rejecting 3.7 shots per 40 minutes.

Overall, Adams is a great physical prospect with a lot of great tools and athleticism, especially when it comes to his potential on defense. He’s a project player. Give him a while though, and teams might just learn to fear him protecting the paint wearing black and red.
