Due to a slick move trading away two non-essential players at the trade deadline, the Golden State Warriors avoided the luxury tax this year. Because of that lack of violation of the cap, they now find themselves with a mid-level exception, which leaves them with $5 million to spend.
With Andrew Bogut’s health still wobbly, Andris Biedrins taking over the backup center spot with Festus Ezeli out for at least six months, the Warriors should look to grab another center with that chunk of cash. Luckily, the market is pretty good for cheap centers.
