Mitchell has a solid frame for a power forward, something that will really help the Knicks’ depth if they grab him with the 24th overall pick. He has a 7’3 wingspan to boot, making him a highly-desirable physical specimen for his position.
Mitchell suffered a bit of a regression this past year however, dropping his draft stock. He regressed a lot offensively, showing lack of a go-to move in the post. He also struggled to consistently knock down shots.
Mitchell showed the smallest slip in defense, but he is still taking hits in the areas of effort and shot blocking. Fortunately, his size makes him serviceable at his position despite his issues.
At the end of the day, he Mitchell is a project player that will take some work. But the framework is there.
