The elder statement among the elite point guards, Tony Parker is still one of the best players in the NBA.
After another successful playoff run, Parker and the Spurs still look poised to be in future title contention because of how seamlessly they transitioned from being Tim Duncan‘s team, to Parker’s.
When you look at the stats for which players have the most points in the paint every season, you mostly see power forwards and centers, yet there’s always one six-foot guard near the top of that list. The slippery Parker just has a knack for getting to the rim and can beat almost every defender off the dribble.
With Parker, you can’t just look at his numbers, but how much consistent playoff success he and the Spurs have had almost every season for the last decade. After another NBA Finals run in 2013, Parker doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of slowing down.
