7. Bogut Sends It Down on Javale McGee (Apr. 28, 2013)
It was Game 4 of the first round playoff series between the Warriors and Nuggets, and to give some context for this play, Javale McGee had posterized Andrew Bogut in Game 1.
It took a few games, but the Aussie finally got his payback with an even nastier dunk on top of McGee, sending Oracle Arena into a frenzy.
This may have been Bogut’s official “welcome to Golden State” moment. When he dropped the anvil on McGee, he sent a statement to the Warriors and their fans that they finally have the domineering big man that they’ve been longing for since God knows when.
The Warriors took a big risk in acquiring Bogut, and he’s showing the Warriors why trading Monta Ellis was worth it.
