The Golden State Warriors are the best team in the NBA and a huge reason why has been the emergence of Klay Thompson. Thompson has become the best two-way shooting guard in the league and has made the Warriors almost unguardable. On Monday night against the lowly Los Angeles Lakers, Thompson suffered a sprained ankle in the third quarter but returned in a 108-105 victory.

On Tuesday afternoon, it was reported that Thompson will miss Wednesday night’s clash with the Atlanta Hawks and could miss 7-10 days. This is a major blow for the Warriors, considering how valuable Thompson is to this team. Everyone knows he is a great shooter but it is his defense that makes him elite. It will be tough for the Warriors to replace his skills while he is injured.

The Warriors have a few options to replace Thompson in the starting lineup, but the question will still be who provides the most for the Warriors in Thompson’s absence.
