Draymond Green has asserted himself as one of the best defensive players in the league. His size, length, mobility, strength, and great defensive instincts are all tools he relies on to hound the opposition. Despite playing as a small-ball power forward, he has been able to hold his own against some of the bigger power forwards in the league.
However, there is one player that has seemingly won the matchup against Green this season, and that happens to be Anthony Davis. Davis’ sheer size, length, and shooting touch has made it hard for Green to contest his shots. If Davis gets position in the low post and is able to face up against Green, it will be tough for Green to adequately defend him.
The Warriors have proven in their regular season battles that stopping Davis isn’t a necessary task to win the game. But if Green can hold his own and force Davis to work hard for his points, the Warriors’ task will be made a lot easier.
