- No Nerves for Coach Kerr
If you didn’t know anything about Steve Kerr and paid close attention to how he coached in the first round of the playoffs, you wouldn’t be able to tell that this was Kerr’s first time coaching in the playoffs. He looked right at home on the sidelines, and wasn’t flustered one bit by the pressure and the intensity of the playoff environment.

Take a look at Kerr’s CV as a player and it’s easy to see why. Kerr has won five NBA titles as a player, and has made some timely contributions in high-pressure situations. So, it’s no surprise that he knows a thing or two about dealing with the playoffs.
Thankfully, he’s been able to translate that over to his players. The media wasn’t exaggerating when they cited the Warriors’ lack of playoff experience as a hurdle. But, with coach Kerr’s guidance and experience, I’m confident that this team has what it takes to overcome that speed bump on their way to contending for the title.
