Playoff Barnes
Harrison Barnes has always been a divisive figure among the Warriors’ fanbase. There are some that feel as though Barnes could provide a lot more production, but there are others that feel as though he is playing the rightful role on the team.
After a poor start to the postseason, Barnes has really picked it up with his play, and is evoking shades of his 2013 breakout performance in the playoffs. He is at his best when he is driving the ball and attacking the rim, instead of settling for jumpshots. He is perhaps the Warriors’ most athletic player, but rarely uses it, which often leads to frustration.
However, since Game Three of the second-round series, Barnes has been aggressive. He is driving more, getting to the rim more frequently, and scoring much better. His three-point shooting has dipped, but he is making up for it by being aggressive. This is the Barnes the Warriors want to see – both from the organization and the fanbase.
