It was the San Antonio Spurs’ league until Steph Curry and the Warriors took it.

In their first game since the All-Star break, the Warriors were faced with their biggest opponent: the San Antonio Spurs. Coach Steve Kerr called the team a “measuring stick.” Many doubted whether the Warriors could maintain the high level of play they demonstrated early in the season. This proved them wrong.

Donning their Chinese New Year uniforms for the first time in front of a sellout crowd and national television audience, Curry did not disappoint. He scored 25 points and no basket was more spectacular than his around-the-back layup. A great defensive play leading to an even greater offensive play.

I don’t know if the Warriors are the next “Showtime,” but that was very Magic-esque.
