What to Expect This Season

Predictions are always tough, but as inconsistent Thompson has been over the course of a single season, his consistent growth from year to year is a great indicator that Thompson has the capacity to improve.

Therefore, I very much expect Thompson to start playing to the level of his contract. Not many players in the NBA can say they have close to a max contract, so all eyes are on Thompson to prove he was worth the money.

I fully expect Thompson to make another jump in his development. Whether that jump pushes him to that next level will depend on how he builds upon his skills on both sides of the ball, what he adds to his game and whether he can consistently do what he needs to do to help the team win.

The chances of him becoming recognized unanimously as one of the elite players in this business are in his favor.
