Jarell Eddie, out of Virginia Tech, is an interesting player. He played in 44 games, starting 18 times, for the Spurs’ D-League team. The Spurs’ system is very similar to that of the Dubs, which gives Eddie an advantage over the other camp invites, as he will probably take less time adjusting to the complex offense Coach Kerr (or Coach Walton for the time being) likes to run.

Eddie hasn’t played in an NBA game before, but he shot 45 percent from three in the D-League last season, which was good for second in the league. Eddie is also 6’7″, and is listed as a guard/forward, so his versatility on both ends of the floor speaks for itself. Personally, I would like to see Eddie land on the team, as I think he has enough talent to contribute, but he is also a player that fits into the system well and can develop into a good rotation player in the future.
