When we break down the list, there are a few players ranked above Curry that are laughable. Our first culprit is Marc Gasol. Gasol has been a great player for a number of years but to rank him above Curry is ridiculous. Gasol’s best attributes are his defense and passing ability, two skills that are rarely used in games like NBA Live ‘16. Most gamers want to hoist up threes or throw alley-oop dunks. Gasol is good for neither one of these skills while Curry performs both of these skills better than anyone.

Our next pretenders are the biggest whiners in the NBA, Griffin and Paul. While Griffin has ridiculous athletic ability that gamers crave, his shooting ability is clearly lacking. Griffin is only a 26 percent shooter from behind the arc and while his percentage is increasing, it will never be close to Curry’s impact on the game.

Paul is usually the distributor when it comes to Griffin’s high flying alley oop dunks and has been a decent three point shooter throughout his career, he can not take over a game like Curry can from beyond the arc. Some argue that Paul is the best point guard in the NBA because he is always leading the league in assists and double-doubles but with all of these stats, Paul has not been made it to a Western Conference Finals while Curry has won a championship.
