While Curry continued his hot start with the Warriors in January, including big victories over the Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets, All-Star Weekend in New York was a big milestone for the guard.

Curry led all players in votes, amassing over 1.5 million votes. He capitalized on his large support and the big New York stage by releasing his first signature shoe: the Under Armour “Curry One.” The show would become one of the hottest kicks on the market as Under Armour finally became a serious player in the basketball world on the strength of Curry’s star power.

After, he finally won his first Three-Point Contest, defeating fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson in what became an instant classic. Then, as a starter, provided some of the game’s best highlights including a fantastic alley-oop to James Harden.
