The Return of Steve Kerr

Probably the most surprising aspect of the Warriors record start this season has been the absence of Coach Steve Kerr. Kerr has not coached all season because of multiple back surgeries in the off-season. During his first surgery, Kerr had a spinal fluid leak that caused him headaches, the real reason why he had to take a leave of absence. Luke Walton took over for him and has done an incredible job, leading this team to record-breaking start.

Kerr joined the team on his first road trip of the season this week in Texas. Everything seemed to go well and there are reports that he could return as the Warriors’ head coach as soon as January 2nd against the Denver Nuggets at Oracle Arena. Walton has done a phenomenal job with this team but the addition of Kerr will just make this team stronger and sharper. Walton is a little more laid back than Kerr and that has hurt this team at times. Kerr will not tolerate the amount of careless turnovers and defensive lapses that this team has on occasion.
