Warriors vs. Heat: Live Stream and Preview
Here’s everything you need to know about the Golden State Warriors’ matchup with the Miami Heat in South Beach.
In a blink of an eye, the Golden State Warriors and the Miami Heat have switched roles.
Just two years ago, the Heat were the title contenders with the best player in the world carrying them to the top of the mountain. Just three years ago, they were defending a championship. Meanwhile, those incarnations of the Golden State Warriors were fighting for a playoff spot. Now the Warriors are the league’s top dogs and the Heat, sitting in third place in the East right now, are fighting for seeding.

The Warriors withstood every run the Atlanta Hawks threw at them on Monday evening and came away with a tough win in a place that they lost in last season. Big performance from Stephen Curry and Andrew Bogut helped lift Golden State over Atlanta. They became the quickest team to reach 50 wins in NBA history. They now only need to finish the season 23-4 and the all-time record will be theirs.
On Wednesday night, the Warriors will look to secure their 51st win of the season and third in a row. At 32-24, the Miami Heat are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. They boast an 18-11 record in South Beach despite averaging just 99.3 points per contest at home, fifth-worst in the Association.
The Heat are on a three game winning streak, scoring over 100 in each of those wins. Miami is without All-Star power forward Chris Bosh who is dealing with complications related to blood clots which kept him out of action last years. It’s unknown whether or not Bosh will have to miss the rest of this year let alone what kind of long-term impacts it will have on his career.
The Warriors are still without center Festus Ezeli (knee) and forward James Michael McAdoo (foot). The newly acquired Anderson Varejao will be in uniform for Golden State for the second game in a row and could see some game time if Miami’s slashers attack the paint and force Bogut and Draymond Green into foul trouble.
A matchup worth noting in this one will be Green vs. Heat center Hassan Whiteside. Both guys went back-and-forth via social media earlier this season, but Whiteside did not play that game due to injury.
The last time these two teams met in the AmericanAirlines Arena was on November 25th, 2014. The Warriors easily won 114-97 on Curry’s spectacular 40 point outburst.
