The Golden State Warriors faced one of their toughest tests of the season on Wednesday night, when they pulled away late with a win on the road against the Miami Heat. Klay Thompson chipped in 17 fourth-quarter points and Stephen Curry had 42 points and a couple of big threes late to give the Warriors the boost they needed en route to their 51st win of the season.

The Warriors never had a lead in the first half, but it was the second half that was thrilling. With double-digit lead changes, the Warriors and Heat traded the lead back and forth with each other on multiple occasions. In the end, it was Stephen Curry making big shots, including an insane three off of a Hassan Whiteside block on Draymond Green.

According to Ethan J. Skolnick, Wade gave a quick quip about Curry’s shot off his block. He also gave the MVP his props and respect as well.

In Wade’s career, he has seen and made his fair share of absolutely ridiculous shots. It’s almost impossible to not have a sense of humor about it at this point when it comes to Curry’s range. After the game, Green even threw a little shade at Whiteside.

For anyone that watches Whiteside play, he likes to mix it up with players on the court and things certainly get chippy on the floor. Green certainly isn’t going to back down from anyone that he might match up against and isn’t afraid to call it like he sees it. The huge screen Whiteside set on Green early might have also had something to do with it.
Not only does Draymond Green have the backs of his teammates, he also has the fullest confidence in their ability to unload from deep. After the game he said that he doesn’t even need to crash the boards any more, according to Rusty Simmons.
Asked if he thought Curry’s last two three-pointers were going in, Draymond Green said: “Absolutely. I don’t even crash the boards anymore.”

In the end it was another huge win for the Warriors and yet another that they can continue to build off of as they chase history in the NBA. At this point in the season, some games are going to turn into slug fests and the Warriors have to show that they can hit back. The Heat packed some punches, but just as the Warriors always do, they punched even harder when it mattered most.
