After Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors lit up the Orlando Magic in style, there were plenty of comments after the game.

The Golden State Warriors had another ridiculous night shooting courtesy of Stephen Curry en route to their 52nd win of the season on Thursday night. Whether it was the half-court heave at the end of the third quarter or him pulling up for three and draining them with Magic defenders in his face, Curry was cooking his way to 51 points and 10 – 15 three-point shooting. Curry also made NBA history, by hitting a three-pointer in a record 128 straight games.

More from Stephen Curry

It was one of those nights of absurd shooting, where the opposition couldn’t help but just shrug at the ludicrous shots that were falling against them. That’s just the way it is for teams when they get their first taste of the Warriors live in the season.

One of those tasked with going up against Curry on Thursday night, was Magic guard Evan Fournier. Fournier had a nice night himself, but after the game he admitted that he wasn’t surprised at all by the things Curry was doing on the court, according to Orlando Sentinel writer Josh Robbins.

After the game, San Francisco Chronicle beat writer Rusty Simmons reported what his coach had to say about his record night. Steve Kerr accurately described what shooting is like for Curry compared to anyone else in the league. Hint: Even Kerr recognizes that a half-court shot for Curry is a breeze for him.

It’s continued high praise from Kerr for his MVP point guard, but it’s absolutely warranted. Curry has had plenty of legendary shooting performances in his career to date, but Thursday night was one of the finest of his career. To make 20 – 27 shots and shoot 66-percent from beyond the arc is something that is out of this world.

As for Curry, he was his typical self after the game. He wasn’t getting too caught up in the moment of his success and he wasn’t about to start a discussion comparing himself to the other legends of the game. With a humbled answer, Curry simply mentioned that he has continued work to do with his game.

All eyes will be on Curry again on Saturday night, when they face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the final game of their road trip. The last time the two sides met, it was one of the Warriors’ toughest contests to date. This time, they’ll look to pick up a huge win in their road finale.
