The Golden State Warriors defeated the New York Knicks for their 50th straight home win. Here are the best quotes from that night.

It was all smiles for the Golden State Warriors as they cruised to a lopsided victory over the New York Knicks.

The Knicks never really had a chance in this one despite racing off to a 4-0 lead immediately after the tip. But it was all Warriors from that point on as their stifling defense and three-point barrage showed Phil Jackson‘s team where the future of the NBA is.

Stephen Curry, who scored a cool 34 points, has made the pre-game shot from the tunnel his own. Of course, Curry hits it more often than the average NBA player (let alone human) could. However, another freak of nature visited Oracle Arena and took a page out of the MVP’s book. The Knicks’ Kristaps Porzinigs drained the tunnel shot with ease.

While this game wasn’t particularly noteworthy for any basketball reasons, some off-court comments made by Jackson caused some buzz several weeks ago. The New York executive tweeted that what Curry was doing wasn’t special as it was similar to Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf‘s game.

Five players for Golden State hit three-pointers and, yes, for the seventh game in a row Harrison Barnes was not one of them. After crucial injuries to both Festus Ezeli and Andre Iguodala, the Warriors’ bench needed to find a spark somewhere. That’s where Marreese Speights comes in.

Mo Buckets has been ridiculous over the Warriors’ recent stretch, snapping out of his season-long funk when he couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat. He’s expanded his range and has begun to hit three-pointers. He knocked down three of five attempts against the Knicks.

Carmelo Anthony had some praise for what the Warriors are doing this season.

The Warriors just won their 50th consecutive home game, extending their NBA record. Steve Kerr commented on it. Per CSNBayArea.com:

"“I don’t think any of us are really thinking about numbers,” coach Steve Kerr said. “That’s one of the reasons we’re having such a good season. We’re not paying any attention to anything that doesn’t matter.”"

When Jim Barnett asked Andrew Bogut what he thought of 50 straight home wins, the big man answered “pretty good.”

That’s an accurate description of this Warriors’ team: pretty good.
